In this project, I’m exploring a direct process from nature to production, in which the conventional role of the “designer” is removed. Rather than designing a form inspired by nature, the form is taken directly from nature itself.

The 3D scan becomes the point at which a natural object enters a manufacturing process. Its geometry is recorded, translated into a digital blueprint, and ultimately reproduced as a functional object.

The project positions technology not as a tool for increasing the designer’s control over form, but as a means of temporarily withdrawing that control. The resulting objects occupy an intermediate condition between the found and the made, the singular and the reproducible, and the natural and the manufactured.

A utopian space where the boundary between subject and object collapses. Objects are liberated from their passive existence and reproduce through sexual intercourse, taking on human-like forms of behaviour. At the same time, humanity is freed from the tyranny of designers and their patrons.

“En Otro Plano”

"En otro plano" is a Spanish expression that means being on a different level, dimension, order of ideas, or reality than the one being analyzed or experienced at a given moment. Depending on the context, it is used with two main meanings: figurative (or discursive) and spiritual or metaphysical.
